Ecostore Baby Wash

Ecostore baby wash review

*Glyceryl Oleate can be derived from peanut oil if your child has a severe allergy.

*Sodium Lauroamphoacetate= also known as sarkosyl, Penetration enhancer. Restricted in cosmetics in Japan are subject to concentration limits, but not here. (Whatever ingredients are in here, this makes them absorb into the skin)There are three different preservatives in this bottle1.Benzyl Alcohol- Also a fragrance ingredient2.Dehydroacetic Acid3.Citric AcidAND a preservative booster Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate.

These preservatives can cause issues as some are synthetically derived and have been linked to skin dermatitis, eczema, hives and rashes. They are designed to be fungicides and bactericides and destroy microorganisms. This is all well and good in a product as we don’t want it to spoil, but what about precious babies’ skin? These ingredients have the potential to alter delicate skin microbiota. (I’m being pretty picky here)

Whilst the other ingredients used are very clean and ingredients I would use, since learning more about preservatives and babies and children’s skin, unfortunately for me, this is not an everyday soap I’d choose to use for my children.

In saying that, it is a much cleaner brand compared to most out there, so if I needed to choose a body wash off the shelf at a chemist or supermarket, I’d choose this one.
