Starting a low tox home – What Ingredients do you need

  1. Essential oils – Ensure they are pure, Therapeutic grade.
  2. Castile soap
  3. Bi Carb Soda
  4. Lectric Soda
  5. Citric Acid
  6. Either Onguard cleaner concentrate or Sal Suds- Dr Bonners
  7. Fine Salt
  8. White vinegar
  9. Citrus peels- Save them! Freeze them until you’re ready to use them.

Phase Two. Replacing hand soaps, dishwashing liquids, kids bath wash, adult body wash.

  1. Essential oils. Ensure they are pure, Therapeutic grade.
  2. Foaming pump bottles for hand soaps and body wash. (These are important to save money)
  3. Some spray bottles  for air freshener, linen spray- reuse what you have or buy some more.
  4. Castile soap
  5. Epsom salts/ Magnesium flakes
  6. Bi Carb soda
  7. Carrier oil like Avocado oil, Coconut oil or Sweet Almond oil.

  2. Castile Soap- I like Dr Planet (Aus made) or Dr Bronners baby unscented, you can buy bulk from bulk food stores. Be carful where they source their palm oil and ensure it is sustainable OR choose a palm oil free one.
  3. White vinegar- Supermarkets Cornwell brand is naturally fermented
  4. Bi carb soda- Bulk food stores, supermarket McKenzies brand, bulk online like Blants, Natural good life, Inspired little pot, Greenliving Australia, plant life Australia.
  5. Lectric soda aka washing soda-Bulk food stores, supermarket in the cleaning isle, bulk online  Blants, Natural good life, Inspired little pot.
  6. Onguard cleaning concentrate or Sal Suds by Dr bronners – On Guard as above per essential oils. Sal suds online or some health food/organic food stores sell it.
  7. Citric acid – Don’t buy the tiny tub from the supermarket. Online bulk online like Blants, Natural good life, Inspired little pot, Green living Australia or bulk food stores like the source.
  8. Coconut oil both fractionated (liquid) and solid (ideally organic) – Supermarkets or health food stores.  Australian Wholesale oils.
  9. Shea butter organic- online or in store at Auroma, Green living Australia,
